SKYWARN 2006
Skywarn meeting in the auditorium in Albemarle.
  • The number of our club members that attended was extremely low for this presentation.   We had a total of 10 members that attended.  Dave Montague, our new Stanly County Emergency Manage put out the word to the Fire and EMT folks and they had a total of 8 in attendance.  So that’s not too bad until you realize that our club sponsored this event and we should have had at least 20 members attending.  Think of this the next time you are debating about attending one of your meetings?  Paul-KD4OZI

  • Here is one of the pictures of a house without a roof, thanks to a tornado.  Hope they had a basement?

Tornadoes
  • What about Tornadoes?  This picture shows the United States, red on the map indicates where tornadoes strike.  Most of Jeff’s tornado picture were taken in North Carolina.  A new concept for us, we normally only see the one from Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas.  Jeff’s style point the subject closer to home for us that live in the Carolinas.
